12 College Place is delighted to offer its services to clients under the Licensed Access Scheme. The system has been implemented to recognise that there may be occasions where it is unnecessary for clients to instruct two experts and so incur the costs of both a Solicitor and a Barrister.
This service enables organisations, that have already obtained a licence, to use the specialist expert services of a Barrister directly without the additional expense of instructing a solicitor.
The range of businesses that are able to take advantage of these services have been recently expanded and now there are far greater opportunities for business to take advantage of these potential costs savings.
Licences are controlled by a branch of the Bar Council that controls ‘Access To The Bar’ and the range of organisations who can benefit from the service has been steadily increasing over time.
Members of any of the bodies that have authorised licensed access can take advantage of this system but with the caveat the cases must be a matter falling generally within the professional expertise of that relevant body.
